School Tours Aboard Lynx Booked Full

Clayton, New York (May 24, 2011) – Sailing Seaway Clayton presented by Davidson Auto Group and Lake Ontario Realty, along with the Lynx Educational Foundation, announced today that school tours aboard Lynx are completely booked during the ship’s upcoming visit to Clayton.

Various local schools are scheduled to visit tall ship Lynx for educational tours of the ship and lessons on the War of 1812, however due to the ship’s brief stay in Clayton and the extensive schedule of the crew, Lynx will no longer be able to accommodate any additional school visits.

Only those formally booked prior to May 24 through the Lynx Educational Foundation offices in Newport Beach, California will be able to participate.

“We are more than pleased to have so many school children coming to the dock in Clayton to see the ship during the school day,” said Michael Folsom, organizer of Sailing Seaway Clayton. “We would love to provide every local school child with this opportunity, but unfortunately only so much can be done in a days time.”

School groups are still invited to visit Frink Park in Clayton on Tuesday, June 14 at Noon to watch as Lynx sails into town with her sails high and cannons blasting.
